Job Title: Community & Operations Assistant

About Us:
Freedom Pet Service is a growing dog walking and pet care business with a small retail shop and a big focus on community. We love connecting with local pet owners, creating fun events, and supporting our town — but we need a flexible, motivated team member to help us grow!

About the Role:
This is a part-time, hands-on role that blends office support, community engagement, and shop management. You’ll be helping with everything from organizing local events, to posting on social media, to opening our retail shop for customers. If you’re outgoing, creative, and enjoy variety in your workday, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with day-to-day business tasks: organizing, scheduling, and general office support.

• Plan and coordinate community events (pack walks, “paint your pet,” holiday photos, etc.).

• Represent our business at town events, local apartment complexes, and assisted living communities.

• Open and manage our small retail shop 1–2 days per week so customers can stop in.

• Support hiring efforts: posting ads, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews.

• Help with marketing: creating simple Facebook/Instagram posts, flyers, and promotions.

• Be a reliable second set of eyes and hands to turn ideas into action.

What We’re Looking For:

• Outgoing, motivated, and comfortable engaging with people in the community.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Organized and dependable — someone who follows through.

• A quick learner who can handle a variety of tasks.

• Comfortable with dogs and other animals.

• Familiar with Facebook/Instagram (or willing to learn).

• Creative and excited to help grow both the business and community presence.

Schedule & Hours:

• Part-time: 10–15 hours per week to start.

• Flexible schedule between 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, about 2 days per week.

• Some weekends required for events.

• More hours available as the business grows.
